EL MOMENTO DE PARTIRSE EN DOS
Bronze, 13,4 cm x 18 cm x 1,5 cm each, 2025
This sculptural series is composed of large-scale tongues cast in bronze. They can be installed emerging from the wall, as if protruding from the body, or placed on the floor or on pedestals.
Each tongue is engraved with a phrase: “the moment of splitting in two,” “contained universe,” “short of breath, with little air.” These phrases evoke the moment during gestation when the organs shift and compress due to the expansion of the uterus. They are inscribed as if forcibly expelled—shouted—and remain imprinted in the bronze as permanent marks of the body and its transformation.
